1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how GetNamed.ai (“GetNamed.ai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with the website located at getnamed.ai, the application available at that domain, and any related services, features, or content (collectively, the “Service”).

GetNamed.ai is an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) platform that helps local businesses understand and improve how they are represented by AI-powered search and answer engines. If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@getnamed.ai.

2. Definitions

  • Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household.
  • Customer” means an individual or entity that creates an account to access the Service.
  • Visitor” means any individual who visits the Service without creating an account.
  • Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Information, including collection, use, storage, transmission, disclosure, and deletion.

3. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to Personal Information that we collect through the Service. It does not apply to information collected by third parties to whom we link or that you choose to connect to the Service, each of which is governed by its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review those policies before authorizing any third-party connection.

4. Personal Information We Collect

4.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account information such as name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Business profile information such as business name, website URL, service categories, and geographic markets you submit so that we can perform the Service for you.
  • Billing information, which is collected and processed by our PCI-DSS certified payment processor. We do not store full payment-card numbers or bank-account numbers on our systems.
  • Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

4.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and similar interaction data.
  • Diagnostic data such as performance metrics and crash reports used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 9.

4.3 Information from third parties

If you sign in using a third-party identity provider, or you connect a third-party platform to the Service, we receive the profile fields and access credentials that you authorize through that provider's consent flow.

4.4 Sensitive personal information

We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, precise geolocation, account credentials for services other than the Service itself, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic or biometric data, health information, sex life, or sexual orientation. Please do not submit any such information to us.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We process Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery — operating the Service, authenticating you, performing the activities you request, and providing customer support.
  • Billing and account management — processing payments, sending invoices and receipts, and preventing fraudulent transactions.
  • Service improvement — analyzing usage, diagnosing issues, and developing new features.
  • Safety and security — detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, account takeover, and policy violations.
  • Communications — sending transactional messages such as account, security, and billing notifications, and, where required, marketing communications you may opt out of at any time.
  • Legal and compliance — complying with our legal obligations, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • Aggregated insights — producing de-identified and aggregated analytics that do not identify any individual.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing your Personal Information are: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), your consent where it is required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.

7. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell or rent Personal Information. We share Personal Information only as described below:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf under written data-protection commitments. See Section 8 for the categories.
  • Third-party platforms you connect, but only the data and access credentials you explicitly authorize.
  • Business transfers:in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, Personal Information may be transferred subject to the acquirer's commitment to this Policy or to terms at least as protective.
  • Legal compliance and rights protection: when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GetNamed.ai, our customers, or others.
  • With your consent or at your direction for any other disclosure.

8. Categories of Service Providers

We engage service providers that perform functions on our behalf under contractual data-protection commitments. They process Personal Information only as instructed by us. The categories of service providers include:

  • Cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers.
  • Payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • AI model providers used to perform the analyses you request.
  • Web-content retrieval providers used to gather publicly available signals for analysis.
  • Email delivery providers used to send account, billing, and support communications.
  • Optional content-platform partners that you choose to connect for publishing features.
  • Error monitoring, security, and operational analytics providers.

A current list of specific service providers is available to enterprise customers under their data-processing agreement upon written request to support@getnamed.ai.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use first-party cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate essential security features such as cross-site request forgery protection. We may also use limited first-party analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in and using core features of the Service.

10. Optional Third-Party Platform Integrations

The Service offers optional integrations with third-party social and content platforms (such as TikTok and YouTube) so that you, or agencies and partners you authorize, can publish content from within the Service.

  • You initiate every connection.No integration is active until you complete the platform's own consent flow and explicitly authorize the connection.
  • Least-privilege access. We request only the minimum permissions needed for the specific feature you enabled.
  • You stay in control. We do not act on a connected account except as a direct result of an action you take inside the Service.
  • Revocable at any time.You can disconnect any integration from the Service or from the platform's own settings. The corresponding access credentials are removed from our systems following disconnection.
  • The platform's own privacy practices apply to anything they collect or display on their systems. We encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies before connecting.

11. International Data Transfers

GetNamed.ai is based in the United States and our service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your Personal Information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, or similar mechanisms to provide an adequate level of protection.

12. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and are based on legal, accounting, tax, and operational requirements. When Personal Information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your Personal Information at any time as described in Section 14, subject to limited exceptions permitted or required by law (for example, retention of transaction records to satisfy tax obligations).

13. Information Security

We maintain industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No security program is perfect; if you believe your account has been compromised or you discover a vulnerability, contact us promptly at support@getnamed.ai.

14. Your Privacy Rights

14.1 Rights available to everyone

  • Access a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information.
  • Deletion of your Personal Information, subject to limited exceptions (for example, legal retention obligations).
  • Account closure at any time. We will deactivate your account immediately and delete associated data consistent with our retention practices.
  • Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.

14.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have additional rights including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, the right to correct, the right to delete, the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell or share Personal Information as those terms are defined under California law), the right to limit the use of sensitive Personal Information (we do not collect sensitive Personal Information as defined under California law), and the right to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.

14.3 EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents (GDPR)

In addition to the rights described above, you may have the right to data portability, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will not require you to waive your statutory rights as a condition of using the Service.

14.4 Other U.S. state laws

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other U.S. states with comprehensive consumer-privacy laws have substantially similar rights and may exercise them by contacting us using the methods below.

14.5 How to exercise your rights

Email support@getnamed.ai with the subject line “Privacy Request” and a brief description of your request. We will verify your identity (for example, by confirming control of the email address on file) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require written proof of authorization.

15. Automated Decision-Making and AI Processing

15.1 Automated decision-making

We use automated systems, including machine-learning models, to generate analytical outputs and recommendations. These outputs are advisory; final business decisions are made by you. We do not use Personal Information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement.

15.2 AI processing and model training

To deliver the Service, we send business information and content you submit to third-party AI providers solely to generate the outputs you request. Under the API terms that govern our use of these providers, your content is not used to train their models. Providers may retain limited data only transiently for security and abuse-prevention purposes as described in their own terms.

We do not use your Customer Content to train our own AI models. We may use de-identified and aggregated data, which does not identify you or your business, to monitor, secure, and improve the Service. AI-generated outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on or publishing them.

16. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Information, please contact us and we will delete it.

17. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret this signal, and we do not currently respond to it. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of any future sale or sharing of Personal Information should we ever engage in such practices.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate. Those properties have their own privacy practices; this Policy does not apply to them.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date and, where required by law, notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
